  30. DESCRIPTION
  31.  
  32.      An editor for use with the Formula One Grand Prix or World Circuit
  33.      game (published by MicroProse Software).  It is very easy to use,
  34.      with a standard 2.0 look graphical user interface (even on KS 1.x!)
  35.      and on-line help should you need it.
  36.  
  37.      Allows you to alter most of the in-game setup, including computer
  38.      car performance, car/helmet/pitcrew colours, car fragility and many
  39.      other things (and I MEAN many!).  Sound samples can also be replaced,
  40.      cockpit graphics changed, and lap records and setups printed.
  41.  
  42.      Changes can be saved directly to a copy of the game which is running
  43.      in memory, or to the main file used by the game for a more permanent
  44.      change.
  45.  
  46.      Also incorporated in the main program are a number of memory patches,
  47.      including Toni Wilen's GPPatch and Grant Reeve's PatchF1GP.
  48.  
  49.      F1GP-Ed breathes new life into an ageing, but excellent game.  1994,
  50.      1995 and 1996 sample datafiles supplied for those who don't want to
  51.      mess about.
  52.  
  53.      The program itself is auto-enhancing, which means that it will run
  54.      on a basic A500 with KS 1.2, but will make use of KS 2.x or KS 3.x
  55.      specific routines on suitable machines to make itself even better.

  57.      Supported languages:

  59.      English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Danish, Swedish,
  60.      Finnish, Norwegian and Czech.

  62. NEW FEATURES

  64.    o The "super-steering help" which is activated when using an analog
  65.      joystick can now be disabled
  66.    o When saving a new datafile, if ENV:Sys/def_F1GP-Ed.info exists it will
  67.      be used as the datafile's icon.  Otherwise the built-in icon will be
  68.      used (as before)
  69.    o New default datafile icon
  70.    o Preliminary 1997 season datafile + Nigel Rowe's updated McLaren
  71.      cockpit design

  73.      And of course some bug fixes - notably, the GPPatch HUD now works if
  74.      a High-Res mouse pointer has been selected in Workbench preferences.

  78.      Formula One Grand Prix or World Circuit game by Geoff Crammond,
  79.      published commercially by MicroProse Software.

  81.      Approximately 1.5Mb of free ram needed to load the game and the
  82.      editor to be able to use the memory patches.  But, the editor
  83.      itself will work on machines with less memory.

  104.      provided none of the files (including the executable) are tampered
  105.      with in any way whatsoever.

  107.      A registration fee is requested if the product is found to be useful
  108.      by the user.  Registering means helps insure that I continue to
  109.      develop the program, and as a bonus all features will be enabled.
